Handicapping - Players' Obligations |
RETURN A MINIMUM OF 3 QUALIFYING SCORES PER YEAR
- To retain your handicap, you must return a minimum of 3 qualifying scores
each year
- Failure to return 3 qualifying scores will result in your handicap being
'starred'
- A 'starred' handicap is not acceptable for competitions where a CONGU
handicap is required (eg club strokeplay/matchplay competitions and 'open'
competitions)
- A 'starred' handicap may otherwise be used for social golf and the like
RETURN ALL SCORECARDS
- You should ensure that all competition scorecards in qualifying
competitions, whether or not complete with a score for every hole, are
returned and computer entries made as required
'HOME' CLUB SELECTION
- Every player must nominate a 'home' club for handicapping purposes
- If you are a member of more than one golf club you must select one as your
'home' club. You must notify this club of your decision and also
notify all other clubs of which you are a member, of your decision
REPORT AWAY SCORES
- If you play in a qualifying competition away from your home club you are
required to report all scores recorded together with the relevant CSS's to
your home club
